24 Hour Unplug Challenge
In today's day and age, we are hooked to checking the first notification that pops up, endless scrolling, and digital distraction. I had decided to drop everything by doing a challenge and not using my phone for 24 hours. I disabled social media, stopped using streaming services, and only occasionally used my phone only to call my mom and dad or make plans with my friends to hangout that day. It was tough at first because I kept reaching for my phone out of habit. But when I kept reminding myself that I'm doing a challenge, things started to change. Without my distractions, I found myself paying better attention to conversations such as when I went out with my friends I could hold more longer conversations and not get distracted easily and do normal tasks. I finally read a book again also spent some wonderful time with my family. I even went for a with my two dogs walk using no podcasts or music, and the silence was very enjoyable.
